Royal Army Veterinary Corps HQ and Camp Flag
On this page:
See also:The Royal Army Veterinary Corps was known simply as the Army Veterinary Corps until it gained the royal prefix in 1918 in recognition of its service in the First World War. It was first founded in 1796 after the British public became concerned over the death of Army horses during the French Revolutionary Wars. After that time a trained veterinary surgeon was attached to each regiment of cavalry. Today it is responsible for the provision, training and care of all animals, not just horses. It is now part of the Royal Army Medical Corps.

Royal Army Veterinary Corps Tactical Flag
The Royal Army Veterinary Corps Tactical Flag is a horizontal striped flag in a black/gold/red/gold/black pattern. It differs from the Royal Army Veterinary Corps HQ or Camp Flag only from the lack of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps Badge center upon it.
